Valentine's Day special: Marathi cinema's all-time favourite on-screen proposals

It's that time of the year when Valentine's Day doth appear. And whether you're out all day with your significant other, or spending the day alone or your planning to watch some classic love films. Now, the best part of such movies are the proposal scenes, they can make anyone fall in love all over again. As it's Valentine's Day today, let's have a look at five proposal scenes from Marathi films that give us all some major relationship goals.

2/5

'Timepass'

This when Prajakta (Ketaki Mategaonkar) accepts Dagdu's (Prathamesh Parab) proposal and she can be seen saying 'I Love You' during the item number 'Hi Poli Saajuk Tupatali'. The scene was nothing short of beautiful. Helmed by actor-director Ravi Jadhav, the film will always be one of the best romantic films of the Marathi industry.

3/5

'Mitwaa'

The classic scene of the film where Sonalee Kulkarni (Nandani) accepts a rose from Swwapnil Joshi who is very attracted to her. The scene was absolutely cute and filled with love. One cannot say no to such proposals for sure. This was the first time when Swwapnil and Sonalee shared the screen. Swapna Waghmare Joshi's directorial 'Mitwaa' made a special space for itself in everyone's heart.

4/5

'Guru'

Ankush Chaudhari and Urmilla Kothare starre 'Guru' gets full marks for evoking cheers and whistles from the masses. There was a scene where Urmilla takes a dig at Ankush, who was feeling shy to express his love to her. And the moment when Ankush goes to his knees to propose Urmilla, without really uttering the words is just speechless.

So get in Ankush Chaudhari's mode to woo your lady love this Valentine's Day.

5/5

'Duniyadari'

Sai (Shirin) gets married to Shreyas (Swwapnil Joshi) who is a patient of a deadly disease [probably blood cancer] and has only a few months of life in his hands. Sanjay Jadhav builds up the whole scene for the classic climax. And the moment when Sai asks Swwapnil's last wish was possibly the best way to end the film. And with this, Sanjay has created a magic moment to remember.
