'Shubh Lagna Savdhan': Here’s why you shouldn’t miss watching the much-awaited film

The much awaited Marathi film, ‘Shubh Lagna Savdhan’ is all set hit the theatres tomorrow on 12 October. The Sameer Ramesh Surve directorial revolves around close friends Subodh Bhave and Shruti Marathe. While Subodh doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage, Shruti is a romantic at heart. How they work out their relationship forms the crux of the story. The film also stars Pratik Deshmukh, Rewati Limaye, Dr Girish Oak, Anand Ingle, Nirmiti Sawant and Kishori Ambiye. Family entertainer

Director Sameer Ramesh Surve's 'Shubh Lagna Savdhan', starring Subodh Bhave and Shruti Marathe, is a family entertainer. Surve had reportedly said that Abhay Shevade, executive producer, had told him to do this marriage related film only if he ensures that it looks and feel like a Hindi film. To this, he had said that he will give his 100 percent. According to the director, it has reportedly turned out to be well and is in the league of Rajshri Productions’ films like ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1998) and ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ (1994).

Sameer Ramesh Surve's direction

Writer-director Sameer Ramesh Surve proved his directorial abilities with his debut directorial ‘Shree Partner’, based on the novel ‘Partner’ by VP Kale. A great admirer of the author, the director was keen on making a film on the novel and his dream came true after he acquired the rights of the novel.

After gaining accolades for ‘Shree Partner’, he is all set with his upcoming film, 'Shubh Lagna Savdhan' which is reportedly a family entertainer. The film has majorly been shot at Dubai and Igatpuri. The filmmaker has very maturely handled the love and romance scenes and ensured that the audience would get two hours of non-stop entertainment.

Pratik Deshmukh's debut

A graduate in electronics engineering, Pratik Deshmukh gave up his career as a Satellite Engineer in the US and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. He started off as an assistant director for films and web-series, and eventually went on to feature in commercials.

He has now finally bagged his first feature film, 'Shubh Lagna Savdhan'. In the film will be seen playing a pivotal role with lead star Subodh Bhave and Shruti Marathe.

Melodious music

Both Jasraj Joshi and Kirti Killedar have put together some amazing, heart-touching songs for 'Subh Lagna Savdhan'. The song titled 'Nawroji' is a new party anthem which features Pratik Deshmukh, Rewati Limaye, Shruti M, Girish, and Nirmitee.

The song also gives us a glimpse of what the film has to offer apart from the sizzling chemistry between the lead actors. This marks Kirti's latest Marathi track after, ‘Mann Ka Ase’ from the film '31 Divas'.

Ensemble cast

'Shubh Lagna Savdhan' will see an ensemble star cast including actors Aniket (Subodh Bhave) and Richa (Shruti Marathe) portrayed as a couple, where Aniket doesn’t believe in the institution of marriage. In fact, he has never attended a wedding in his life. Richa, however, is a romantic. The supporting cast will also feature Pratik Deshmukh, Rewati Limaye, Dr Girish Oak, Anand Ingle, Nirmiti Sawant and Kishori Ambiye.
