‘Saavat’: Here's why you shouldn't miss Smita Tambe starrer film

Saurabh Sinha is all set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming supernatural thriller film ‘Saavat’. The trailer of the film which released recently started topping the trending charts within no time and saw a positive response from the audience. Based on Supernatural Thriller

Saurabh Sinha's forthcoming film ‘Saavat’ revolves around the story of a village which explores the human psyche. The trailer of the film begins with subtitles describing the real crux of the film, that follows a cop played by Smita Tambe, on her hunt to solve a mystery involving seven suicides in one village within seven years. What makes the story gripping is that these incidents occur during the rainy season with seven eyewitnesses Iron branded with morbid messages.

Smita Tambe's debut as a producer

The talented actress Smita Tambe who has impressed the audience with her power-packed performance in films like '72 Miles-Ek Pravas' 'Jogwaa', Partu' and many more. Smita has turned producer with upcoming Marathi film 'Saavat'. In the film, Smita will be seen portraying the role of ACP Aditi Deshmukh, an investigating officer to solve a mystery involving seven suicides in one village within seven years.

Saurabh Sinha's debut directorial

Superstition is still very much prevalent in many villages in India and is used to put women down. In an attempt to taint her character and squash her journey to success, she is often labelled as a witch or worse. This label is then endorsed with make-believe stories that gather momentum as they are shared. Saurabh Sinha who is set to make his debut in Marathi cinema with the film 'Saavat' which is shows the journey of a woman, who overcomes her personal anguish to deliver justice to another woman trapped in an unspeakable story of deceit and deception.
