Actor Nana Patekar paid his heartfelt tribute to Vikram Gokhale, who passed away last week in Pune. Gokhale and Patekar were last seen together in Mahesh Manjrekar's Marathi film 'Natsamrat' (2016).
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav in Nagpur, he said, "A great actor left us, and I pay my tribute to Vikram. I truly feel there can never be another actor like him.

If you pick 10 of the best actors in the world, he would be on the top of that list."

Dressed in a simple kurta-pyjama, the 'Khamoshi' actor was present as a special guest at the event. He drew loud applause when he said his famous dialogue from 'Natsamrat' - To be or not to be, that is the question. Jagava ki marava, ha ekach sawaal aahe.
Patekar, whose career spans over 5 decades, also expressed his happiness of being an actor on the occasion. "For us actors, our dominion is only over this stage. Beyond this, we don't have anything. While on stage, we could see no one in the audience, but we can sense that everyone is watching us. We derive happiness from that darkness. That is only and only because of the love of our audience. I have been working since fifty years now. But It feels like yesterday when I began my journey. I don't know how time flew. I will be entering into 73rd year soon. But actors never age, they just come, and depart," said the three-time National Award winner.
Gokhale and Patekar have worked together in films such as 'Bhalu' (1980), 'Ab tak Chhappan 2' (2015) and Amol Palekar's directorial 'Thodasa Roomani Ho Jayen' (1990).
