'Mogra Phulaalaa': Reasons to watch Swapnil Joshi starrer film

After impressing the audience with his performance in 'Mumbai-Pune-Mumbai 3', Swapnil Joshi is all set to show his acting prowess in his upcoming film 'Mogra Phulaalaa' helmed by Marathi cinema's popular director Shrabani Deodhar. It also features stars like Chandrakant Kulkarni, Anand Ingle, Sandeep Pathak, Sanyogita Bhave, Prasad Limaye, Vighnesh Joshi, Ashish Ghokale and many more. The film is slated to release today i.e June 14, 2019. Family drama

Shrabani Deodhar's directorial 'Mogra Phulaalaa' gives us a glimpse into the life of Sunil Kulkarni, who is an IT professional which is played by Swapnil Joshi and how his life changes when he falls in love with his Assistant Bank Manager, played by Sai Deodhar. Apart from the love between the lead actors, the trailer shows us Neena Kulkarni's inestimable love for his son, Swapnil Joshi.

Swapnil Joshi as 'Sunil Kulkarni'

In the film, Swapnil Joshi will be portraying the character of 'Sunil Kulkarni' a common man who is an IT professional. While speaking to Etimes, Talking about his character in the film Swapnil had said "I have done several films but 'Mogra Phulaalaa' is very close to my heart. I am playing a portraying character of Sunil Kulkarni who is a very simple guy and to play this very tough but our director Shravani has done a brilliant job and I would say she is the hero of the film"

Sai Deodhar's debut in Marathi cinema

As far as actor Sai Deodhar remembers, the direction was something that she always wanted to explore. But, fate had other plans and she went ahead to become a household name with Hindi television. Now, the actor is now ready with a film directed by her, has already produced a digital film, The Sholay Girl and is making her Marathi acting debut with Mogra Phulala. While speaking to Etimes, on her debut in Marathi cinema, she said "It is quite ironic that despite Marathi being my mother tongue I had not done anything concrete in it yet. Last year, when mom was working on Mogra, she had me in mind and I was on top of the world. Working in a project helmed by her is a dream come true. She is an institution in herself. She has been hugely instrumental in my work. I am excited and terrified about making my Marathi debut as I want to be accepted and lauded for my performance. I’m hoping Mogra gets me all of that"

Shrabani Deodhar's directorial

After impressing the audience with her blockbuster films, 'Lapandav' and 'Sarkarnama' which garnered the filmmaker with a lot of accolades and also honoured with National film award for her works. The filmmaker is all set to make her return to Marathi cinema with her upcoming film 'Mogra Phulaalaa'. Speaking to Etimes, Shrabani Deodhar, said "I stopped directing films on a sad emotional note after I lost my cameraman husband Debu Deodhar. After his death, I took up work with a television channel for almost nine years but then sometime back when I sat down and introspected, I realized that Debu may not like it if I just gave up filmmaking"
