A recent announcement from director Sachin Kundalkar added to the buzz around his upcoming Marathi film '
Pondicherry'.
While a cast of well-known actors, including
Amruta Khanvilkar,
Sai Tamhankar, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi and
Neena Kulkarni, is already on board, Sachin took to social media to announce the association of actor-director
Mahesh Manjrekar with the project. 'The coolest chap joins the actors' team', he wrote on Twitter.
While Sachin has collaborated with Sai before (Vazandar), it will be the first time he is working with the other actors. The shooting of the film will happen in Pondicherry. Another interesting aspect about this film is that it will be shot entirely on a smartphone! Sachin and his team have researched on the compatibility and output and it will definitely be interesting to see how Pondicherry shapes up.
