'Maaza Agadbam': Reasons to watch the Trupti Bhoir and Subodh Bhave starrer

After the success of 'Agadbam', actor-turned-director Trupti Bhoir is all set with the second part of the film titled, 'Maaza Agadbam'. The film talks about the strange happenings in the life of an overweight girl Najuka, weighing 250 kgs. 'Agadbam' was released in 2010 and was a remarkable success in the Marathi industry. The sequel of the film takes us through a rollercoaster ride faced by the protagonist who keeps juggling between the demands of being a daughter, a daughter-in-law and a wife. Director Trupti Bhoir tells the story laced with a different sense of humour. The film stars Trupti Bhoir, Subodh Bhave, Tanaji Galgunde, Usha Nadkarni, Jaywant Wadkar, and Mike Wietecha. As the film is all set to hit the theatres on November 26, we give you a rundown of reasons to watch the film.

Sequel of 'Agadbam'

Trupti Bhoir's 'Agadbam' was released in the month of October last year and was a box-office hit. Trupti Bhoir comes up with a unique theme through her film ‘Agadbam’. Aptly titled, the film talks about the strange happenings in the life of an obese girl Najuka weighing 250 kgs with a huge structure. ‘Agadbam’ is the kind of film that speaks about the change that Marathi film industry has brought in technical areas. It featured Makrand Anaspure, Trupti Bhoir, Usha Nadkarni, Chitra Navathe, Vikas Samudre, Narayan Jadhav, Tejaswee Patil, Mahesh Kokate, Mangesh Satpute.

3/6

Family entertainer

The sequel of the film will see the actress play the same character in a different story. Naajuka (Bhoir), an obese woman, is married to a simple man (Subodh Bhave). Her size regularly gets her into trouble and her husband is at the receiving end. Her mother-in-law (Usha Nadkarni) despises her because of her appearance. Bhave appears decent in a unique madcap comedy. Although Nadkarni is getting stereotyped, her comic timing is still refreshing. To put it simply, Maza Agadbam is anything but funny and family entertainer.

4/6

Truti Bhoir's direction

The film producer-turned-director, Trupti Bhoir made her debut in the direction with the sequel of 'Agadbam' and she has also penned the script of the film. The trailer of the film has already generated a lot of curiosity among the audience. ‘Agadbam’ was a remarkable success in the Marathi industry. Touted to be the next Marathi blockbuster, ‘Majha Agadbam’ is gearing up to impress fans with its power-packed star cast and thought-provoking storyline.

5/6

Kanha's debut

For the first time, Subodh Bhave has shared the screen with his son Kanha who is debuting in 'Maaza Agadbam' as a child actor. Recently, the actor shared the picture of his son, Kanha on social media where he disclosed that Kanha has done his debut with the film 'Maaza Agadbam' and actor was taken to surprise by the performance of his son.
