, a student of Ryan International School, Sanpada committed
suicide
apparently after coming to know that he failed in two subjects in Class XII
CBSE Board examination. His parents were at their hometown in Malwan when he hung himself from the ceiling fan at his residence.
On Sunday morning soon after the CBSE results were announced his parents kept trying his number to know about Prithvi's result but he didn't answer any of their calls. That's when his worried father Sachin Wavhal asked his brother to reach their residence at Shankar Tower's Sector 18, to find out what's wrong.
According to a few reports, the 18-year-old left a suicide note wherein he apologized to his parents for disappointing them. Though he has not mentioned CBSE results to be the reason of this suicide. Prithvi is a nephew of popular

The Vavhals stayed in the ‘A’ wing of the society. Talking to a leading daily, The Hindu, one of the residents of the same wing said, “The boy was very humble and I was close to his mother. There was no pressure on him about studies as the family is very well-to-do and very understanding. It is surprising to know that he took this step. He had failed in Maths and one more subject due to which he took this extreme step.”
