Janta Curfew
' as a preventive measure against the coronavirus
outbreak
in the country.
The 'curfew', a form of quarantine and social distancing, has earned appreciation from many quarters and celebs have taken to social media to support it too. On Saturday, actress
Smita Gondkar took to her Twitter page to do the same and also requested her followers to observe the curfew from 7 am-9 pm on Sunday.
Smita tweeted, "Extraordinary circumstances demand extraordinary response. Let's all join as one nation & support the appeal of Prime Minister #JantaCurfew on March 22 7am to 9pm Sparing 5 mins to appreciate humanity shown in different ways by our real heroes. #COVID19 #IndiaFightsCorona."
The 'Ye Re Ye Re Paisa 2' actress also urged people to show respect the medical staff, police officials and authorities working continuously to help defeat the virus.
