Stars such as Ashok Saraf, Hemant Dhome, actor and politician Urmila Matondkar, Riteish Deshmukh with his wife Genelia D'Souza, Madhuri Dixit, Mahesh Manjrekar and others at polling stations to cast their votes and encouraged citizens to participate in the democratic process.
Actor couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza cast their votes at a polling station in Latur. The 'Mauli' actor took to his Instagram handle to share a happy picture with his Genelia and wrote, "Voting isn’t just a right, it’s a responsibility."
Actor-director Hemant Dhome took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of himself while showing his inked finger. Sharing the picture, Hemant wrote, "My opinion...For unity… for development… for a safe environment without fear! My vote is for the farmers... for the weaker sections! My vote is for communal reconciliation... for Maharashtra Dharma!Shiv Shahu Phule Ambedkar's Progressive Maharashtra!"
Director Navjyot Bandiwadekar, known for Gharat Ganpati, shared a post on Instagram after casting his vote in Mumbai. Alongside a picture, he wrote, "Taking action today for a better tomorrow. Your vote matters, make it count!"

The voting for the single-phase Maharashtra assembly elections began at 7 am and will conclude at 6 pm. Polling is taking place across 288 assembly constituencies.
