After debuting successfully into
Marathi cinema
with the film '
Time Please
', Sameer Vidwans is all set to bring to the audience the story of India's first female doctor, Anandibai Gopalrao Joshi on the silver screen under the title, 'Anandi Gopal'.
On the occasion of New Year celebration, Sameer took to his
Instagram handle to share the motion poster of the film. The clip opens with one of her quote, which reads, 'the country which does not accept my moral ambiguity, then that country is not mine' with the captivating background music. The clip also shows portrait picture of Anandibai Gopalrao Joshi. Going through the motion poster, Sameer's upcoming film is based on the life of India's first female doctor, Anandibai Gopalrao Joshi from the erstwhile Bombay presidency of India.
Apart from the title of the film, the filmmaker revealed absolutely nothing about the film or its star cast. Produced under the banner of Zee Studios, Fresh Lime Films and Namah pictures, the film is slated to release on 15 February, 2019.
