Mollywood: Jassie Gift is in M-town after a break with Style, which has some peppy songs. For those familiar with his compositions, the tracks hold no surprises and are a standard fare, though they are worth checking out.
Beginning with some soft notes reminding one of 80s music, the first track Chenthamara Chundilsoon changes into a rhythmic track. Sung by Haricharan and Shwetha Mohan, whose voices impressively meld, the track is for the sentimental, lovesick listener.
Benny Dayal and Suchithra sing the next song, Vennila Vannu Nee, a song that comes across as rather strange and sadly, forgettable.
Changing the mood of the album is Mazha Thulli Thulliby Karthik, a remix of the popular decades-old song, which begins with the soothing rhythm of rain. The song is a blend of different moods but meanders quite well. But does the new version warrant rewinds? Doubtful���The album leaves the discerning music lover yearning for something more.
