#Whatif ‘Interstellar’ was made in Mollywood

Welcome back, my travel partners. “Love is the only thing that transcends time and space.” This epic dialogue from Christopher Nolan’s film ‘Interstellar’ was stuck in my mind after I finished watching the movie on the last day. This has indeed made me buy a ticket to the Hollywood epic science fiction movie ‘Interstellar’. So kindly take this ticket and pack your bags. Over to Simon.

#Simon says, “ We have earlier ventured into the universe of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Inception’ and truth to be said I didn't feel like leaving that realm and wanted to visit again. Today we will be traveling to another one of his masterpiece films ‘Interstellar and check into the possibilities of the film being remade in Mollywood. Tighten your seatbelts as ETimes presents the 20th episode of #Whatif ‘Inception’ was made in Mollywood.”

Possibility 1: Cooper as Prithviraj Sukumaran

#Simon says, “ Prithviraj Sukumaran is the best actor to reprise the lead character Cooper in the Mollywood remake of ‘Interstellar’ and the reasons are plenty. First of all, he is a talented actor who doesn't relish the idea of being pigeonholed as a safe zone actor and loves to try different genre subjects. Secondly, Prithviraj has the knack to play such kind of over-the-top characters and people just love to listen to his emotional dialogue delivery. So Prithviraj as Cooper will be the best option.”

Possibility 2: Murph as Devika Sanjay

#Simon Says, “ The Hollywood film ‘Interstellar clicked with the audience mainly due to the emotional balance between the father and daughter characters Cooper and Murph. Coming to the Malayalam remake of the film the ‘Njan Prakashan’ fame Devika Sanjay would be apt to play the role of Cooper’s daughter Murph.”

Possibility 3: Brand as Parvathy Thiruvothu

#Simon Says, “The Brand character was played flawlessly by the Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway in Christopher Nolan’s film ‘Interstellar’. The character design for Brand is just brilliant as there are so many emotional backstories for the character. In the Mollywood remake of ‘Interstellar’, Parvathy Thiruvothu is the best option to play the role of Brand.”

Possibility 4: Professor Brand as TG Ravi

#Simon Says, “It's all goosebumps you can feel when hearing the dialogues said by professor Brand in the film ‘Interstellar. The ace Hollywood actor Michael Caine has indeed played his role to utmost perfection. If you add some roughness to his dialogue delivery, then we can feel that he has similarities to the Mollywood renowned actor TG Ravi. Professor Brand's character would be perfect in the hands of the actor TG Ravi in the Mollywood remake of Interstellar’.”

Possibility 5: Mann as Asif Ali

#Simon Says, “ The Hollywood actor Matt Damon played an important cameo role in ‘Interstellar’ and remains one of the best performances in the film. Coming to the Mollywood remake, the actor Asif Ali could be the perfect option to reprise the role.”

#Simon Says, “ So that's it, my travel partners. We have explored the masterpiece of Christopher Nolan- ‘Interstellar’ and looked into most of the possibilities of the film being remade in Mollywood. If the remake happens, then it would be a breath of fresh air for the Malayali audience as science fiction is a concept that is less tried in Mollywood. Hope some filmmakers try to do such a genre in Malayalam in the future. I hope you guys enjoyed today’s ride. Meet you next time on the same day with yet another interesting episode of #Whatif. Till then bye.”
