Dulquer Salmaan signed yet another interesting project this week. The pan-Indian actor has confirmed signing his third Bollywood project, and it will be helmed by ‘Pad Man’ director R Balki. The upcoming film will feature Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in lead roles. And the team is planning to start rolling soon.

Actor Saranya Sasi succumbed to cancer after a long battle of 10 years. She passed away on Monday (August 9) after suffering from COVID-19 complications. She was 35. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and had undergone 11 major surgeries. Saranya Sasi who has worked in movies is more popular for her appearances in television soaps.

Actor Fahadh Faasil turned 39 on August 8. Fans and colleagues of the star including Kamal Haasan poured in wishes for Fahadh. He is currently shooting for an upcoming Tamil film ‘Vikram’ and the makers launched a special poster on his birthday. ‘Vikram’ will feature Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles and the special poster surely made headlines.

Babu Antony is currently shooting for Mani Ratnam’s ambitious project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. The Tamil movie has an ensemble cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Karthi, Jayaram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Babu Antony. “Apart from being a director that actors aspire to work with, Mani sir is also such a nice, gentle person, which makes it an added pleasure; it is a smooth working experience. He is also a risk-taker. This is a demanding film and one that MGR and Kamal Haasan tried to make, but were unable to. So this film has that ‘difficult to make’ history attached to it’,” Babu Antony recently said in a chat with Kochi Times.

Nayanthara grabbed headlines for her romantic relationship with filmmaker Vignesh Sivan. The actress will be appearing in a Tamil television show as a guest and the promo video is taking the internet by storm. In the promo video, one can see Nayanthara confirming that “This is an engagement ring.” It is unclear whether the actress is already engaged or not, and fans are waiting to find out as the program will be aired on August 15.
