‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ box office collections day 17: Dhyan Sreenivasan’s film collects Rs 32.9 crores

Dhyan Sreenivasan's latest venture, 'Varshangalkku Shesham', continues its cinematic journey amidst facing tough competition from Fahadh Faasil's 'Aavesham'. Despite garnering praise for its storyline and performances, 'Varshangalkku Shesham' finds itself trailing behind its rival at the box office.

The Indian box office collections for 'Varshangalkku Shesham' have now reached a commendable Rs 32.9 crores within 17 days of its release. However, the film grapples with maintaining momentum against the soaring success of 'Aavesham'.

According to data from the Sacnilk website, 'Varshangalkku Shesham' recorded a Malayalam occupancy rate of 37.06% on Saturday, April 27, 2024. The film's 17th-day occupancy statistics reveal a mixed pattern across morning, afternoon, evening, and night shows, with varying levels of audience engagement.

In its second week, 'Varshangalkku Shesham' collected Rs 10.55 crores, following an impressive first-week collection of Rs 22.35 crores. Despite its strong initial performance, the film faces an uphill battle as it strives to compete with the strong and steady earnings of 'Aavesham'.

Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil's 'Aavesham' continues to dominate the box office, crossing the Rs 70 crore mark in Indian collections by its 20th day in theaters. On its 19th day, the film accumulated an estimated Rs 68.00 crore net, showcasing its enduring popularity among audiences.

With 'Aavesham' maintaining its stronghold and 'Varshangalkku Shesham' navigating its path, it can be certainly said that the Fahadh Faasil starrer is the Vishnu Winner this time.
