Tovino to star in a film based on time travel

So, will the character leap forward or backward in time? 'Mostly to the past,' he says. 'As there is no time machine, Tovino's character will not be able to travel to a specified time. It's all random at first for him. How his character figures it out and then uses his special ability to travel to a particular point in time is what the story is about.'
As the concept of time travel is new to the industry, the major hurdle for the movie's team seems to be simplifying it for the audience. 'The challenge is to make the concept believable and simple not just for the youth but also for the family audiences in Kerala,' says the filmmaker. 'The backbone of Tick Tock is its script. All films of this genre have had a smart and intelligent story behind it, rather than relying on CGI. Ours is no different.'
