‘Boeing Boeing’

This Throwback still of Mohanlal with the actresses Lizy, Madhuri, and Ashwini, who played the lead characters in the 1985 comedy film ‘Boeing Boeing’, could really strike a chord in your memory lane. ‘Boeing Boeing’ was one of the all-time blockbuster films during that time and could be termed as one of the gems from director Priyadarshan’s filmography. Mohanlal and Mukesh played the lead male roles in the film and the dialogues of the movie were written by Priyadarshan and Sreenivasan

The evergreen combo

This throwback picture of the stars Shankar, Mammootty, Mohanlal was taken for a popular film magazine and really takes us back to the golden days of Malayalam cinema. Actor Shankar was first selected as the lead actor for a Tamil film named ‘Oru Thalai Ragam’, which became a cult romantic film in the Tamil industry and had a 365-day run. Later Shankar debuted in the Malayalam film industry with the film ‘Manjil Virinja Pookal’ and that too became an all-time blockbuster romantic film and introduced Mohanlal into the Malayalam film industry.

Mammootty

Yes, that’s right the slim person standing among one of the audience is the legendary star Mammootty itself. This picture was taken during the 10th anniversary of ‘Jalf Orchestra’ founded by ‘Manjeri Ashraff Kureekkal’ and the main guest during the function was actor Sukumaran. Mammootty, who was practicing as an advocate in the ‘Manjeri high court’ was the main announcer of the function

Lijo Jose Pellissery

The slim boy posing shyly for the camera is the famous director Lijo Jose Pellissery. Being the son of veteran actor Jose Pellissery, Lijo always had a liking for making films and made his directorial debut with the 2010 film Nayakan starring Indrajith as the lead actor. Lijo Jose Pellissery has also acted in a few films such as ‘Sapthamashree Thaskaraha’, ‘Padayottam’ etc.

Vettam movie

This is a BTS still taken during the sets of the 2004 comedy-drama film ‘Vettam’. Actors Dileep, Bhavna Pani did the main lead characters in the film. ‘Vettam’ directed by Priyadarshan is one of the absolute gems from his filmography with so many witty dialogues and comedies that could make you laugh out loud. Although the movie performed average at the box office at that time, the comedic-oneliners, well-crafted plot, songs are all of the factors that make this film memorable.

Unni Mukundan

Yes, Unni Mukundan- the muscle man, was an absolute skinny boy back then. The actor went through a great gym routine to get into the shape he is now. He could be the supreme confidence booster for any skinny boy to get back to the gym and sweat it out for a perfect body shape. Unni Mukundan who debuted into the Malayalam industry with small roles is now one of the most star-valued actors in M-Town.

Jayaram with kids

This Throwback picture of Jayaram with his kids Kalidas Jayaram and Malavika Jayaram could melt your heart. Kalidas Jayaram made his debut in the Malayalam film industry with Jayaram itself, in the movie ‘Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal’ which was directed by Sathyan Anthikad under the script of C.V Balakrishnan. Jayaram-Kalidas combo in the film was well-liked by many and the film was one of the superhits back then.
