With two releases - ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ and ‘Naradan’, the first week of March was quite eventful in M-Town. The shoot of the fifth installment of the popular Malayalam investigative series is happening at a warp speed. Directed by K Madhu and scripted by SN Swamy, the upcoming film ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ will feature Mammootty in the lead role, like its prequels. And this week, veteran Jagathy Sreekumar joined the sets. The actor has been away from limelight, ever since his accident in 2012, and his return to the movie sets, were indeed a celebration and ray of hope for the entire film industry.

Prithviraj Sukumaran has been filming for ‘Kaduva’ helmed by Shaji Kailas. He will be seen playing the leading role of Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan in the film, and the makers wrapped up the shoot on March 1. Prithviraj Sukumaran confirmed the same via his social media handle and also shared that he will be taking a short break, ahead of joining the sets of his ambitious project ‘Aadujeevitham’.

After the massive success of ‘Minnal Murali’, Tovino Thomas has once again awed the audience, with his latest release ‘Naradan’. The film directed by Aashiq Abu featured Tovino Thomas as a broadcast journalist and the political thriller attracted the attention of the audience.

Amal Neerad’s directorial ‘Bheeshma Parvam’ featuring Mammootty in the lead had hit the cinemas on March 3. The Kerala government’s relaxation in the restrictions, which resulted in allowing full occupancy in the cinemas, has come as a blessing for the Mammootty. The film attracted a lot of audience to the cinemas and is receiving rave reviews from the audience.

On February 27, the Kerala government announced more relaxation in the covid restrictions. The state government granted full occupancy for cinema halls, which came as a huge relief for theatre owners as well as the film personnel.
