Sathyan Anthikad and
Mohanlal’s friendship needs no description. Working together for years and creating several hit movies including 'T. P. Balagopalan M.A', '
Gandhinagar 2nd Street
', 'Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam', 'Nadodikkattu', '
Pattanapravesham
', 'Pingami', 'Rasathanthram' and among others, the duo has become more like a family. Sathyan Anthikad’s son Anoop has also stepped into filmmaking with the recent movie ‘Varane Avashyamund’ and audience enjoyed the multi-starrer thoroughly, giving it a warm welcome.
Anoop Sathayan recently shared an incident from his childhood days, where he had a fight with his dad Sathyan Anthikad and decided to leave the house to go to Mohanlal’s place. Walking down the memory lane, Anoop detailed the incident in a ‘cinematic’ style. Taking to his social media handle, Anoop described the incident that took place in 1993 when he was in the third standard. He also explained how Mohanlal reacted to his ‘leaving home’ idea.
In his post, Anoop wrote, “Cut to- 1993, Anthikad:
I was in 3rd standard, had some intellectual conflict with Achan and decided to leave the house to live with ‘Mohanlal’ (I was his ‘propeller’ then). Achan found it funny, called him up right away, handed over the receiver to me and said, “Mohanlal wants to talk to you!” I was not matured enough to handle the situation and so, I giggled☺I still remember, how he was laughing then!”
The newbie director also recollected the recent incident where he was talking with Mohanlal over the phone. “Cut to - 2020, Today, Somewhere near Anthikad, I just pulled over the car:
We spoke over the phone! He said he loved the film. And I giggled ☺His laughter is still the same ,” Anoop wrote.
Meanwhile, ‘Varane Avashyamund’ featured actors Suresh Gopi, Shobana, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The family entertainer was released on February 7.
