Malayalam actress Parvathy Thiruvothu recently praised Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat for her historic achievement at the Olympic Games. Vinesh Phogat made history on Tuesday (August 6) by becoming the first Indian woman wrestler to reach the final of the Olympics. This remarkable acheivement was met with widespread acclaim, including from the entertainment industry.

Parvathy Thiruvothu expressed her admiration for Vinesh Phogat on social media. Taking to her official Twitter handle, Parvathy shared a picture of Vinesh celebrating her win and penned a heartfelt message: "Vinesh Phogat, you've made us all so proud by reaching the finals. Your hard work and spirit are shining bright. Go for Gold, Vinesh! We are all behind you, cheering you on! #Paris2024."

Vinesh Phogat secured her place in the final with a dominant 5-0 victory over Cuba's Yusneylis Guzman Lopez in the 50kg category in Paris, ensuring herself at least a silver medal. After her semi-final triumph, Phogat kept her comments brief, stating that she would only speak after the final match in Paris.

The journey to this historic moment has not been easy for Vinesh Phogat. Over the past year, she has faced numerous challenges, including a prolonged protest against the Wrestling Federation of India. Additionally, Vinesh had to undergo knee surgery, making her comeback even more challenging. Despite these obstacles, she has shown incredible resilience and determination, particularly after switching her wrestling category to 50kg for this competition.
