Sunny Wayne spoke about the pressing environmental issue of
plastic pollution
on
Earth Day 2022
. The actor shared that a year ago, he along with a group of his friends opened a
plastic recycling
unit, aiming to do their bit in reducing plastic pollution.
Sunny Wayne took to his social media handle to share the same. “Over the 300 million tons of plastic produced every year, at least 14 million tons end up in ocean. Experts says that it takes around 400 years for a plastic bag to degrade. Until then, it sticks around us spreading toxins and harming everything on the earth. A year after implementation, I am introducing the plastic recycling plant named “Planet Earth Eco Solutions” Me & my childhood friends started at Ernakulam. Here we recycle 2 Tons of Plastic collected from various places everyday. It wasn't easy for us to start off the project but now it’s slowly turning out to be a Success with support of The Government. We love every bit of what we do here. On this Earth week, let's give a promise to ourselves to try our best to reduce, reuse and recycle plastic thus Keep Earth Green&Clean for us and to leave it the same way for Future Generations. Happy Earth Day!!” Sunny Wayne said in his note.
