‘Rifle Club’ box office collections day 12: Aashiq Abu’s film mints Rs 12.19 crores

Receiving highly positive reviews from the audiences, Aashiq Abu’s directorial action flick ‘Rifle Club’ has raked good numbers at the box office.

According to the Sacnilk website, ‘Rifle Club’ has managed to collect Rs 12.19 crores from India in 12 days, and on the 12th day the film raked in Rs 44 lakhs as per the early estimates by the website.

The first week collections for the action-packed entertainer amount to Rs 8.85 crores and the movie opened with Rs 1.15 crores at the Indian box office.


Coming to the occupancy rates, ‘Rifle Club’ had an overall 22.85 percent occupancy on Monday, December 30 with morning shows at 10.33 percent, afternoon shows at 17.50 percent, evening shows at 22.32 percent, and night shows at 41.24 percent.


ETimes review of ‘Rifle Club’ reads, “The film is basically an elevator pitch story, but the writers skillfully keep the momentum fluctuating between calm and exciting, particularly in the first half; the second half has a bit of a lag, but viewers are kept glued to the story. Also, what they and the director have managed to really carry off well is the fact that the film is led stylishly by senior actors, Dileesh, Vijayaraghavan, Vani Vishwanath and others, while the glam youngsters are just a small part of the story. Bheera first goes to the club and reports back to his father over the phone that it is just a “club run by some oldies”. But we get a feel that these oldies have lives well-lived and won’t take crap from anyone.”


Meanwhile, it can be definitely said that ‘Marco’ has turned out to be the Christmas winner this time as the movie has already collected Rs 37.35 crores within 11 days and the movie is also getting wide praise from the Hindi audiences and has minted around Rs 2.38 crores from the region.
