‘L2E: Empuraan’, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, featuring Mohanlal is one of the most awaited upcoming films in Malayalam. The makers kickstarted the pre-production work a couple of months ago and it looks like the team is moving at warp speed. On Monday (Nov 7), Prithviraj Sukumaran teased movie buffs with a photo, hinting that the pre-production work is underway. He clicked a picture of the script placed on a table, next to a coffee mug, and captioned, “L2E - E.M.P.U.R.A.A.N.”

The movie buffs have gone gag over the post, and some have asked via comments whether it's a hint of the completed script. ‘L2: Empuraan’ marks the second installment of ‘Lucifer’. The upcoming film is scripted by Murali Gopy.
In a video released in August, Prithviraj Sukumaran confirmed that the film is treated like a commercial entertainer. “As always, I don’t have huge claims to make. ‘Empuraan’ is a Mohanlal starrer commercial entertainer. A commercial entertainer that all kinds of audiences can watch and enjoy. ‘Empuraan’ will be bigger than ‘Lucifer’, considering the reception we received for the latter. We will keep you updated about the project. Regarding the release, we haven’t decided anything as of now.” The actor also affirmed that the scripting process has been completed and they are moving to the next phase of pre-production.
