According to early estimates from the Sacnilk website, ‘Nunakkuzhi’ earned approximately Rs 1.70 crore in India on Thursday, August 15, 2024. The film enjoyed an overall 49.62% occupancy in Malayalam theaters, with the evening and night shows witnessing the highest turnout, boasting 62.07% and 61.53% occupancy, respectively.

‘Nunakkuzhi’ tells the story of Eby Zacharia, portrayed by Basil Joseph, who is the Managing Director of Poozhikunnel Group of Companies. Eby's life takes an unexpected turn when an income tax raid threatens to expose some dark secrets. Forced to navigate these challenges, Eby resorts to unconventional methods to protect his professional life and his personal affairs. The plot thickens when he encounters a ‘deceased’ dentist, a fractured couple, a police squad, and a film star, leading to chaotic and humorous events. The movie ends with an unexpected twist.

‘Nunakkuzhi’ has been lauded for its humorous elements, largely attributed to the stellar performances of the supporting cast, including Baiju Santhosh, Siddique, Grace Antony, Manoj K Jayan, and Binu Pappan. Their comedic timing and chemistry have added an extra layer of entertainment.

On the other hand, Jeethu Joseph’s previous outing was the court room drama film ‘Neru’.
