One never expected that the Mollywood director
Jude Anthany Joseph would be able to brilliantly pull off a survival drama movie like ‘2018’ and with the film getting good reports from the audience, the director has also hinted to us that he has more magic under his sleeve.
Recently during a media conversation, the ‘2018’ director opened up that he has got a lot of inspiration from the senior filmmakers who have done such films on a large scale and he also said that he considers the director
Priyadarshan as his Guru.
Citing an example for the same, Jude Anthany said that he is still surprised by the fact that Priyadarshan only took 43 days to complete the shoot of the evergreen classic film ‘Kaalapani’.
Speaking further about how he got inspired by other foreign films, Jude Anthany said that he thanks all those filmmakers who passed out the core idea that ‘Human emotions are the best way to convey a movie’. Taking an example from the classic film ‘Jurassic Park’, he said that there is a shot in the movie which is focused on a glass of water trembling when the dinosaur arrives. He said that he has got inspiration from such films and he just copied it from those veteran filmmakers all over.
Jude Anthany Joseph concluded by saying that his plan is to be a better filmmaker and a better human being after each and every film he does and ‘2018’ is his tribute to all those filmmakers all over the world who have inspired him.
