Mohanlal and Shaji Kailas reunite after 12 years! Deets inside

Mohanlal made a surprise announcement on Wednesday (Sept 8) about his reunion with popular filmmaker Shaji Kailas. The duo has previously delivered blockbuster movies like ‘Narasimham’, ‘Natturajavu’, ‘Baba Kalyani’ and 'Red Chillies' and their reunion is a pleasant surprise for the movie buffs. Mohanlal and Shaji Kailas are reuniting after 12 years and Mohanlal was elated to make the announcement.
The upcoming film will be scripted by Rajesh Jayaram and Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas is backing the project. The movie will start rolling by next month (Oct 2021).
“The wait is finally over! It's with great excitement and happiness that I announce my next project with Shaji Kailas which starts rolling in Oct 2021.This film scripted by Rajesh Jayram and produced by @antonyperumbavoor under the banner of @aashirvadcine has me and Shaji getting together after 12 long years. Am sure it's going to be worth the wait!” Mohanlal said in his post.

Producer Antony Perumbavoor too was thrilled to reunite with Shaji Kailas. “After 14 years, joining hands together with Lal sir and my brother Shaji Kailas. Script by Rajesh Jayram,” he shared.
As Shaji Kailas and Mohanlal are reuniting the cinephiles could expect something solid, one which you could celebrate in the cinema halls.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Mohanlal has recently wrapped up the shoot of ‘Bro Daddy’ in Telangana. The film was helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and also marks Mohanlal’s second association with him after ‘Lucifer’.
Mohanlal will be joining the sets of ‘12th Man’ in a couple of days. The upcoming Malayalam movie is directed by Jeethu Joseph.
