Masterpiece: Five reasons to watch the Mammootty film

After months of waiting, megastar Mammootty’s Ajay Vasudevan film ‘Masterpiece’ is finally hitting screens and Mollywood is super excited! If you are one of those film buffs thinking about kicking-off the holiday season with one of his movies, here are five reasons for you to say yes to ‘Masterpiece’!

1) Mammootty – Ajay Vasudevan combo
Right through his debut film ‘Rajadhi Raja,’ which was released a few years ago, Ajay Vasudev proved that he is no rookie when it comes to knowing how to use Mammootty’s stardom and acting prowess, effectively.Not only did the megastar get to impress his mass fans with his heroic antics, but the film also gave him enough room to portray the kind of acting that has made him closer to the lovers of serious cinema. And when they come together again, what can Mollywood expect? Wait till December 21 to find out!
2) Mammootty as a college professor
Who can forget his charming professor avatar in ‘Mazhayethum Munpe?’ Who can forget how great he looked amidst the pretty college ladies, who all had a thing for him? Well, the new setting is in a mixed college, which makes things even better. Will Edward Livingston be as lovable as Nandakumar? Or will he be better?
3) The stunts!
The teasers and trailer of ‘Masterpiece’ already gave a peek into the thrilling stunts of the film, in which Mammootty acts as a college professor who had a ‘happening’ past. Apparently, there were six stunt masters to choreograph the fight scenes of Masterpiece! Stunt Silva, Stunt Siva, Kanal Kannan, Siruthei Ganesh, Mafia Sasi and Jolly Bastin were roped in for the stunt scenes, so that the patterns don’t get repeated and thrill audience the maximum. Now, what’s not to love in that?
4) Deepak Dev’s music
Be it in ‘Chronic Bachelor’ or ‘Bhaskar The Rascal,’ Deepak Dev has offered some memorable music in his earlier Mammootty-starrers. Not only did they become hits soon after the release, the songs also created some envious records! The latest film also has some peppy music, which has already come out and won hearts. Now, what’s more in its jukebox? Only December 21 can tell!

5) Santhosh Pandit debuts in mainstream films!
Yeah yeah we have all had our share of fun, thanks to his mannerisms, typical ‘I am its all in all’ films, interviews and more. Some of us have also delightfully discovered the sensible and brilliant side of this filmmaker-cum-self-proclaimed-superstar. Now, when he worked on a film with a real one, what happened? Santhosh Pandit debuts in mainstream films through this movie and one can’t wait to see how well he fits into the picture, when in a film that isn’t anything like his. So, will he make a mark?
