, she will step into the shoes of a producer. The actor, who has entertained us in a variety of films from comedy to emotional, dramatic and thrillers, has launched

with friend and sports entrepreneur Noel Ben.

“A new feather on my hat & Clap. Happy to share news of the launch of my very first production. This is a dream come true. Need your blessings and support. I thank my family, my production partner Noel Ben, all my well wishes & close friends and everyone else who believed in me and helped me to make this moment come to life,” the actor posted on social media.

Speaking about what made her start the venture, she said, “I want to give back to the industry which has given me so much. That is why I am starting this venture.” As she announced the launch today, she added that her new project will give more prominence to women and children, and she too will be closely involved in the projects. “I will be able to add more entertaining films to the Malayalam industry through my production company,” said the Forensic actor. Her first project, apparently, is an anthology that brings together three National award winners.

“Back to work... finally! Details to follow but all I can tell you now is that it’s a script I’m very very excited about. And the most, for my first paycheck of 2020,” Mamta posted on social media on Tuesday, though it is not clear if this is the film that she is producing. The actor had just returned from Los Angeles a week back. During the lockdown, she launched a single titled Thedal.
