Mammootty isn’t an avid social media user, but the Megastar manages to awe the netizens, every time he posts something and today is no different. The superstar has posted a rare photograph from his debut movie.
Mammootty posted the colour corrected version of the black and white photograph and shared that it brings vivid memories of the past.
The star also recalled that he got the opportunity to work with legendary actor late Sathyan in the film.
“Big thanks to the person who did this. This is a screen grab from my first ever appearance on celluloid. Colour corrected from black and white (sic),” Mammootty said.
He further added, “This brings back such vivid memories from another time. I had the rare privilege to be in the same film as Sathyan master. In fact I remember touching his feet once when he was asleep, resting between shots. #longtimeago #aboutaboy #whodreamedofcinema (sic).”

Meanwhile, Mammootty first appeared in front of the camera in 1971. He debuted with KS Sethumadhavan’s directorial ‘Anubhavangal Paalichakal’. The film was scripted by Thoppil Bhasi and it featured Sathyan, Prem Nazeer, and Sheela in the lead roles. Mammootty was a junior artist then and people hardly noticed him.
On the work front, Mammootty’s recent outing was ‘The Priest’ directed by Jofin T Chacko. The Megastar played the role of a priest in the film and it also featured Manju Warrier in a pivotal role.
