‘Malayankunju’: Here are 4 reasons why you shouldn’t miss this Fahadh Faasil starrer

Fahadh Faasil is literally getting his hands into everything ranging from a very realistic film to complete action entertainers like ‘Vikram’ and ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Now the actor is all set to explore the realm of survival drama by teaming up with the debutant director Sajimon Prabhakar with the upcoming movie ‘Malayankunju’. As the film is all set to hit the big screens on 22nd July, let's take a look at the 5 reasons why the film is a must-watch in theatres.

AR Rahman

Musical maestro AR Rahman’s music always oozes a different kind of vibe. With ‘Malayankunju’, AR Rahman is making his comeback to the Malayalam film industry after a very long gap. Previously AR Rahman composed the music for the Mohanlal starrer ‘Yodha’ and the songs are still on our favorite list. Makers of ‘Malayankunju’ previously unveiled an intriguing trailer for the film and AR Rahman’s eerie background music for merely a 2-minute video could send chills down your spine. Wait for the magician to unfold his talent on the big screen.

The plot

The ‘Malayankunju’ trailer posits that the film will be a survival drama focusing on the character Anil Kuttan played by Fahadh Faasil. From the trailer, it can be assumed that the movie will showcase a very hateable Fahadh Faasil in the beginning who turns out to be a good person as he sets out to save a small kid who is trapped inside a hole or somewhere else. The trailer also shows glimpses of surreal sequences that literally lift a usual survival story to a different level. The makers also warned claustrophobic people to stay away from watching the movie.

Fahadh Faasil’s words

Fahadh Faasil talked about ‘Malayankunju’ in a recent interview with an online media and the actor’s words have literally upped the anticipation levels for the movie. Fahadh Faasil said that he has never strained and worked so much for any other movie than ‘Malayankunju’. The actor said that the movie was shot 40 feet down and he was emotionally and physically exhausted while filming. With no/less light under, the actor found it even hard to breathe oxygen during the shoot. Let's hope that his efforts would turn out to be worthy as the film hits the big screen.

Fafa - Mahesh combo

Fahadh Faasil - Mahesh Narayanan combo never disappoints and the films ‘Take Off’, ‘CU Soon’, and ‘Malik’ are the supreme examples of it. Coming to ‘Malayankunju’, the director Mahesh Narayanan is roped in as the scriptwriter and the direction will be handled by the newbie director Sajimon Prabhakar. Fahadh Faasil and Mahesh Narayanan have a good track record of giving satisfying and content-oriented films to the audience and for all the right reasons all bets are on the duo Fafa and Mahesh.
