Prithviraj Sukumaran is applying some kind of brilliant strategy for the upcoming years by lining up different genre films ranging from thriller to epic drama. Recently the makers of his upcoming magnum opus ‘
Kaaliyan
’ announced that they have resumed the work for the film and more details will be announced shortly.

Prithviraj Sukumaran along with an update that read, “ ‘Kaaliyan’.. We are back to work. More news to follow.”

Helmed by the debutant director S Mahesh under the script penned down by BT Anil Kumar, ‘Kaaliyan’ tells the story of fierce warriors from Venad set in the 1700s, and Prithviraj’s character shoulders a mighty mission that would even cost his life.
As per the reports, the film is mounted on a huge scale with multiple shooting locations and the usage of visual effects. The makers are leaving no stone unturned in the pre-production works of ‘Kaaliyan’ and are aiming to give the audience a magnificent experience. The sources also suggest that the storytelling pattern of the film has a unique approach coupled with elements of commercial action filmmaking.
Earlier, in 2018 the makers unveiled an intriguing first look teaser for the film and the film began rolling in October 2020. Since then no further updates were made by the makers on the magnum opus of Prithviraj Sukumaran. Now with the announcement that the work for ‘Kaaliyan’ has resumed, the anticipation level from the audience has skyrocketed.
Sujith Vaassudev will crank the lens for ‘Kaaliyan’ and as per the reports,
Sathyaraj will play a pivotal role in the film along with Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Meanwhile, the audience is awaiting the release of Prithviraj’s upcoming drama thriller film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ which is billed as a theatrical release scheduled for April 28.
