Atlee's 'Jawan' starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role has turned out one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Indian cinema. The film, which also stars Nayanthara in the lead role, has crossed Rs. 550 crore in the worldwide box office collection. 'Jawan' also marks Nayanthara's debut in Bollywood. From potential blockbusters to critically acclaimed ventures, Nayanthara's decisions have often stirred curiosity and sparked discussions among cinephiles and fans alike. But did you know that the superstar has turned down several films, among them are blockbusters! Let's take a look.

Rohit Shetty's film ‘Chennai Express', released in 2013 featured Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Nayanthara too was offered a role in the Rohit Shetty directorial. Well, don't jump to conclusions. No, Nayanthara wasn't offered the role Deepika Padukone played in the film. However, she was reportedly approached by the makers to appear in the song 'One Two Three Four'. Nayanthara apparently turned down the offer politely for the reasons best known to her.

Nayanthara was reportedly offered to headline the remake of 'Queen'. Released in 2013, the Bollywood film 'Queen' starring Kangana Ranaut was a blockbuster. The film was also critically acclaimed. The immense success of the film inspired the makers to remake it in Tamil. If reports are to be believed, Nayanthara turned down the film, citing her tight schedule.

Nayanthara is one of the busiest actors in South Indian cinema. She has been one of the most sought-after actresses in the industry since her debut. And if reports are to be believed, Nayanthara rejected 'Paiyya'. As per the reports, she was offered the role of Charulata, however, the actress wasn't quite impressed and opted out of the project. The role was later done by Tamannaah Bhatia.

Businessman turned actor Saravanan played the lead role in the 2022 release 'The Legend'. According to the reports, the makers had plans to reach out to Nayanthara for the lead role, and there were talks about it. However, it didn't happen.
