Lijeesh Kumar comes out in support of debut director Shrikumar Menon

The latest Mohanlal starrer ‘Odiyan’ released to a mixed response from the audience. While the makers were being subjected to a lot of criticism, Lijeesh Kumar came out in support of the makers through a post on his Facebook page.

Taking to his Facebook page, he said that he was waiting for Shrikumar Menon's 'Randamoozham.' He also requested people to not make Shrikumar Menon another Padmarajan. He added that if failing of debut films, made the person stop then Malayalam industry wouldn't have got talents like Aashiq Abu, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Thampi Kannanthanam, and B Unnikrishnan. Lijeesh also pointed out the reasons behind his statement including instances with Mohanlal starrer film 'Rajavinte Makan,' which was a turning point for him.

Sharing his post, Lijeesh said that it is extremely shameful to make such derogatory remarks on a filmmaker’s debut film. He also added that Shrikumar Menon's spectacular films are on the way and he is in the wait for Shrikumar Menon's 'Randamoozham.' Reportedly, the film 'Odiyan' has received huge criticism from the audience as the movie failed to meet their expectations. However, there are mixed reviews about the movie and is successfully running in the theatres. Shrikumar Menon is getting threats and cyber attacks for not meeting the expectations of the audience.
