The film was majorly shot in Kollam, and the director had earlier revealed that the inspiration for the story came from a real-life incident that happened in Alappuzha.
Speaking to Kochi Times earlier, Sagar shared, “There was a jewelry theft that happened in Alappuzha, around 2005-06. The movie’s story is strung together with a few other incidents, along with this news. Indrans chettan plays the character of a security guard, whom I know from my younger days. Murali Gopy, on the other hand, is cast as a rustic Malayali who faces all the issues that a person from such a background encounters. The movie explores the relationship between two people, their complexes, pride and the like and is a story that anyone can relate to.”
Apart from Indrans and Murali Gopy, the film also has Leona, Athira Patel, Sreejith Ravi, Jolly Chirayath, Unni Raj, Dinesh Prabhakar and Ramesh Kottayam in some pivotal roles. Abilash Shankar has roped in as the cinematographer, while the edit is handled by Ajeesh Anand. Arun Muraleedharan is composing the music and the lyrics are penned by Harinarayanan, Manu Manjith and Dhanya Suresh Menon.
