'Kurup’ to ‘CIA’: Dulquer Salmaan’s highest f​irst day grossers at the Kerala box office

Starting from the low-budget action drama film ‘Second Show’ to the most anticipated upcoming film ‘King of Kotha’, the Mollywood actor Dulquer Salmaan has definitely turned out to be one of the bankable stars in the Malayalam film industry. The promising actor has also delivered several box office hits in the Malayalam film industry. ‘Kurup’

Playing the real-life villain Sukumara Kurup, Dulquer Salmaan once again proved that he is able to perform any role to its perfection. ‘Kurup’, which was mounted on a large scale, received highly positive responses from the audiences and raked in Rs 4.84 crores on its initial day at the Kerala box office.

‘Solo’

Even though Bejoy Nambiar’s anthology film ‘Solo’ didn’t get much good reviews from the audiences, Dulquer Salmaan’s star value has helped the film in getting much traction. The anthology film reportedly grossed Rs 3.45 crores on its first day at the Kerala box office.

‘CIA’

Dulquer Salmaan teamed up with the ace filmmaker Amal Neerad for the first time with the action drama film ‘CIA’ which received mostly mediocre reviews from the audiences. Even with some flaws, Amal Neerad’s magnificent direction and Dulquer Salmaan’s terrific performance were said to be the main highlights of the film. ‘CIA’ reportedly grossed Rs 3.09 crores at the Kerala box office on its first day.

'Jomonte Suvisheshangal’

Sathyan Anthikkad teamed up with Dulquer Salmaan for the family drama movie ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal’ which also didn't get much positive responses from the audiences who compared its similarity with Vineeth Sreenivasan’s ‘Jacobinte Swargarajyam’. Keeping aside the negatives, ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal’ managed to rake in Rs 2.26 crores on its opening day at KBO.
