KS Chithra pays tributes to SP Balasubrahmanyam on his birth anniversary

SP Balasubrahmanyam, fondly referred to as SPB was born on this day. And today marks the 75th birth anniversary of the late singer. Fans from across the globe are sending tributes to the late singer.

who has closely worked with SPB has penned an emotional note on SPB’s 75th birth anniversary.

His note read, “Today is full of memories, happiness, and tears of your birthday celebration through out the years. Wishing you were here today for even just a while so we all could say Happy birthday sir. On your 75th birthday along with all your fans all over the world I thank you for the numerous priceless songs you gave us during your lifetime. Have a beautiful birthday celebration in heaven and rest well by God’s side (sic).”


Earlier when SPB passed away, KS Chithra said that ‘the world will never be the same’. “An era is over. Music will never be the same. World will never be the same.Words are not enough to Thank him for guiding me to be a better singer. Cannot think about a concert without your great & gracious presence. Condolences & prayers to Savithri amma, Charan Pallavi & Family. Pranams,” KS Chithra wrote on the day of SPB’s demise.

KS Chithra and SP Balasubrahmanyam have worked in many movies together and the duo has also performed together for many stage shows. SP Balasubrahmanyam has crooned over 40000 songs in 16 different languages and is one of the most iconic singers India has ever had. Fans from all over the world are sending tributes to the late singer on his birth anniversary. He passed away on September 25, 2020.
