Jeem Boom Bhaa movie review highlights: A weak story with old sensibilities

With a very thin storyline,

Jeem Boom Bhaa

someone manages to get through the first half with cliched situations, forced jokes and misogynistic moments.

Aspiring director Basil Kanjikuzhi, played by Askar Ali, and his friends aren't getting very far with their film-making plans. They can't seem to even get themselves a drink for New Year's eve till they get their hands on a drink bottle, which actually has an ancient story. There was a don after the bottle till these guys got it. There are also a couple of women in trouble- one an actress who lives in the building and is being threatened by someone and another is a model who ends up in their flat.

The first half leaves us wondering what the don will do to these guys and what will happen to the women
