In his earlier note, the director shared that though romantic comedies might look simple, it is indeed a risky genre for a filmmaker, “Unlike an action, slapstick or a social drama film, a romantic comedy film might look simple. But for a filmmaker, it is aesthetically a risky genre to approach. For most of the run time of the film, you have just the lead pair alone sharing the screen space. And hence their meaningful and organic chemistry is highly demanding to keep the narrative gripping. It has to re-shape from the written lines of the script into something more magical with performance and smart choreography of movements. As a director that is my adventure. Luca, Mindiyum Paranjum and now Marivillin Gopurangal - the pleasure is having the right cast as passionate partners in creation who sit with you seriously romancing the art of cinema.”
