HBD KJ Yesudas: Latest Malayalam songs of the celestial singer

KJ Yesudas, the name that stands synonymous with melody is turning 82 today. The ‘Gana Gandharvan (celestial singer)’ has been entertaining music lovers for the past six decades and continues to conquer hearts with his magical voice. Recipient of eight National awards for best playback singer, the legend has crooned over 50,000 songs in various languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Odia, Bengali, Marathi, and other foreign languages. KJ Yesudas had lent his graceful vocals for the song ‘Punnarapoonkattil’ in the recent release (2021) ‘Keshu Ee Veedinte Naathan’. The lyrics to the song were penned by Sujesh Hari and Nadirshah has composed the music. The tuneful song is sure to find a place in your playlist.

2019 release Mammootty starrer ‘Mamangam’ had a magical song from KJ Yesudas. The song as many others wouldn’t have been possible without the magnificent vocals of KJ Yesudas. Rafeeq Ahammad wrote the lyrics to which M Jayachandran composed the music.

The 2017 film ‘Viswasapoorvam Mansoor’ was blessed with the vocals of KJ Yesudas. The song was penned by Premdas Guruvayoor and composed by Ramesh Narayan. The song also won KJ Yesudas the National Award for Best Singer.

Nivin Pauly starrer 2016 film ‘Action Hero Biju’ had a stunning duet from KJ Yesudas and Vani Jayaram. Titled ‘Pookkal Panineer’ the romantic number was penned by Santhosh Varma and composed by Jerry Amal Dev.

‘Kaadaniyum Kalchilambe’ from Mohanlal’s blockbuster film is perhaps one of the most loved songs sung by K J Yesudas in the past couple of years. Released in 2016, the song was composed by Gopi Sunder and the lyrics were penned by Rafeeq Ahammed. KJ Yesudas and KS Chithra crooned the marvelous song.
