‘Gold’ starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara appears to be a film that falls no short of the signature style of Alphonse Puthren. The recently released intriguing teaser for the film gave much more insight into the details of the project that the ace director Alphonse Puthren is doing after a long gap of 7 years. Keeping aside the fact that we can't wait to see the final product of this Prithviraj- Alphonse Puthren film, let's take a dive into some of the necessary details that you need to know about the film.

First timers

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? That is what's happening in the case of these two magnificent talents Alphonse Puthren and Prithviraj Sukumaran who are teaming up for the first time. It's sure that the film will meet the expectation levels of the audience as both the talents have a reputation of satisfying the audience with their works. Prithviraj Sukumaran is also teaming up with Nayanthara for a full length role for the first time.

Prithviraj and Nayanthara’s characters

From the teaser its known that Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara will be helming the roles of the characters Joshi S and Sumangali Unnikrishnan respectively. Although not much details on how these characters are connected to each other is known, all cards are on Alphonse Puthren who has the talent to create memorable characters such as George, Mary, and Malar from his previous film ‘Premam’.

An ensemble of talented cast

As shown in the teaser, ‘Gold’ will be stacked with several talented actors and also will have some guest appearances of popular actors. ‘Gold’ will feature the actors Shammi Thilakan, Mallika Sukumaran, Shanthi Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Sabumon, Chemban Vinod Jose, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, Saiju Kurup, Sudheesh, Deepti Sati, and many more.

Different from his previous films

Earlier Alphonse Puthren himself had announced via his social media handles that ‘Gold’ will be a small film that is completely different from his previous films ‘Premam’ and ‘Neram’ He also added that the audience shouldnt expect a film filled with love and action in the case of ‘Gold’. He further added that there will be two or three songs coupled with light hearted humor along with some good characters in ‘Gold’.

Bheeshma Parvam cinematographer

Anend C Chandran is roped in as the cinematographer for ‘Gold’. The ace cinematographer has previously cranked the lens for the films ‘Bheeshma Parvam’, ‘Helen’, ‘Aanandam’, ‘Premam’, and ‘Neram’.
