Jeethu Joseph’s daughter Cathy’s directorial ‘For Alice’ is out. The short film features Esther Anil in the lead role, and the actress has now spoken about her collaboration with Cathy. Esther Anil dropped a BTS video of the short film and penned a note.
In a note shared on Instagram, Esther Anil recalled that she first met Cathy on the sets of ‘Drishyam’. "I met @cathyjeethu almost 10 years ago on the sets of Drishyam. I met her as Jeethu's uncle’s daughter then. Afterward, when Drishyam became a big hit and we were celebrating its 150th day, Cathy, Katina, Anisha Chechi, and I were standing together with food on our plates. A magazine photographer, pretty old—I don’t know his name, but I remember his face—approached and said, ‘Oh, director, producer, and actor of the future, let me click a picture.’ I never thought Cathy would direct me someday,” Esther Anil said in the note.
Her note further reads, “Years passed, and now she is my closest friend’s elder sister. Today, it feels so personal. I am glad you made me a part of your first project, Cathy. To many more! Okay, Linta Aunty also cast me in her debut project. Next up is @katina.a.j_12 for her independent project. Madam Athilum Enikoru Chaaancee Also… GO WATCH ‘FOR ALICE’ ON YOUTUBE.”
