Actor Dileep reached Sabarimala with a heavy heart. The actor said his visit was not for publicity or celebration but only for his mother, whose health is very serious. He shared with the media that she is unable to recognize people and needs constant care. His visit was part of a vow made only for her well-being.
Dileep says his mother fell three times
Speaking to Manorama Online, Dileep said, “My mother is very unwell. She has fallen three times. She is in a condition where she cannot recognize anyone. I have entrusted someone to look after her. I was waiting here to request Thantri Kandaru Mahesh Mohanar to offer special prayers for my mother during the noon pooja.”
Media harassment after acquittal
Dileep also spoke about the stress he continues to face even after being acquitted by the court. “Everyone is harassing me. So many false things are being spread. Don’t I deserve at least a little justice?” he asked.
He said he avoided speaking to the media and agreed to speak only while waiting to meet the Thantri.
Dileep's Sabarimala darshan
Dileep said he is a devoted Ayyappa follower. “I am an Ayyappa devotee. Last year when I came for darshan, a small controversy arose. This year I came after properly booking the offering.”
He reached Pampa at 8:30 am, climbed the hill on foot, and had darshan through the staff gate. He later met the Melshanthi and the Thantri to share pooja details.
