‘CBI 5’ writer SN Swamy turns director; Dhyan Sreenivasan to play the lead

Veteran scriptwriter SN Swamy is all set to don the director’s cap and the popular actor Dhyan Sreenivasan is roped in for the project. The film is said to be a romantic drama and an official confirmation about the genre is expected to be announced soon.

Although his recent outing ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ didn’t impress the movie buffs and was subjected to several trolls from social media, SN Swamy is one of the brilliant writers in the Mollywood film industry who has pulled off several classic films ranging from investigation thrillers to action movies.

Expectations are high as SN Swamy is donning the director’s cap at the age of 72 and the fact that Dhyan Sreenivasan will be playing the lead has indeed amped up the anticipation levels for the movie. Kudos to SN Swamy for helming a movie at this age!

On the other hand, Dhyan Sreenivasan’s previous outing was with the thriller film ‘Veekam’ that didnt do well at the box office. The actor also has several highly ambitious projects in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, SN Swamy’s previous outing was with the Mammootty starrer investigative thriller ‘CBI 5: The Brain’ which was directed by K Madhu. The film didn't get many good responses from the audience.
