“It’s a crime investigative thriller with a lot of unique elements. For starters, the movie will be set in a different era. The title itself reflects the mood of the movie and it’s different from the films that I have done so far because this is a more serious subject,” says Sugeeth. The film is reportedly set in the '70s.

Biju Menon plays a sub inspector named Soman Nadar in the film. “We are planning to release his get-up on Thiruvonam day. We have already decided on the look and it’s sure to surprise the audience,” says the director.

On when the movie will go on floors, the filmmaker says, “After the pandemic situation abates. This is not a film you can shoot indoors or in limited spaces. From the start of the movie till the end, the story evolves with rain in the background.”

The film’s script is by Dileep Ponnappan and Prem Radhakrishnan. Jakes Bejoy, who composed for Biju Menon’s Ayyappanum Koshiyum, handles the music department while Faisal Ali serves as the movie’s cinematographer.

Biju Menon revealed the first look poster of the movie through his social media page on August 17, with the post that read: “Hope everyone is doing safe and healthy. Sugeeth’s next film will start filming after the Covid-19 pandemic is over. Seeking all your prayers… Sub Inspector Soman Nadar.”
