AMMA controversy: Asif Ali backs 'Drishyam 3' actor Ansiba Hassan; Tini Tom says he is leaving everything in god's hands
The controversy surrounding allegations made by Ansiba Hassan against actor and mimicry artist Tini Tom has taken another turn. The issue gained further attention after actor Asif Ali publicly shared his views on the matter and expressed support for Ansiba.
Reacting to the situation, Asif said internal disputes within an organisation should ideally be handled inside the system itself. He also suggested that people may choose to speak publicly only when they feel there are no other options available.
As quoted by Cinema Express, Asif said, "Problems within an organisation should be resolved within that organisation. It is only when that does not happen that someone is compelled to speak publicly. People like Ansiba may be speaking out because they have no other option."
He also stated that issues connected to caste and religion should be approached with "common sense."
Ansiba also alleged that she was subjected to a smear campaign and accused Tini Tom of making communal remarks against her.
The issue later gained more attention after Ansiba appeared before authorities to provide a statement related to another complaint she had submitted.
As reported by Mathrubhumi, during his interaction with reporters, one of his friends reportedly spoke about the emotional difficulty caused by the controversy surrounding the actor.
Responding to the issue, Tini Tom chose not to elaborate further and said that he would leave everything in God's hands.
Earlier, Tini had denied the allegations made against him and had challenged Ansiba to seek legal remedies if she believed she had been wronged.
Ansiba appeared before the Thrikkakara Assistant Commissioner of Police office on Sunday to provide a statement in connection with her complaint.
The complaint reportedly concerns her alleged experiences involving actress and AMMA Vice President Lakshmipriya and Thrippunithura Women's Cell Sub-Inspector Reshma.
During her interaction with the media, Ansiba once again criticised Tini Tom and made strong remarks regarding the controversy.
Speaking about the issue, Ansiba told media, "Tiny Tom did not wrong only me; he wronged an entire community. Particularly, he has done wrong to people in a secular state like Kerala. It is very unfortunate. When someone has a personal grudge and finds nothing else against a person, they may think they can use the fact that my name is Ansiba Hassan against me. That sends a wrong message to society. Fortunately, we all live in Kerala. Malayalis understood the issue clearly. What he did cannot be justified. He must face the consequences of his actions."
