Actress

Sanusha

, who acted in films such as

Zachariayude Garbhinikal

, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha, recently opened up on social media about her battle with depression. Speaking openly about her struggle, which also led her to have suicidal thoughts, the young actor said that she did not know how to talk to family and friends about it, and everyone only saw the cheerful side to her, even when she was going through a difficult time.

“The

lockdown

was a difficult time professionally and personally, and now when I look back, I consider how I got through it and grew through it,” she says in a video, adding that her brother, actor

Sanoop Santosh

of Philips and the Monkey Pen fame, was her confidante during this time.

“I suffered anxiety issues and panic attacks… then, when I felt I had no option, I just took my car and left on a journey to Wayanad,” she says, noting that she found it difficult to listen to the news of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide.

Saying that apart from working out and doing yoga, she started on medication, she advised, “Seek help and remember that you are not alone.”
