Actor Indrans prepares for the class X equivalency exam at 67

Renowned actor Indrans is redefining success by pursuing education at the age of 67. Facing financial constraints in his youth, Indrans had to halt his education at the fourth-grade level. Now, driven by an inspiring determination, Indrans is preparing to sit for the Class X equivalency examination.

Despite an illustrious career spanning four decades and accolades including state and national film awards, Indrans recognized the importance of education. During a talk with On Manorama, he shared his conviction that illiteracy equates to blindness and expressed his desire to 'see' the world through the lens of education. This inspired him to return to the classroom and pursue his studies.


In 1981, while engaged in tailoring and costume design for film productions, Indrans ventured into acting, rising to prominence in 1994. Despite his success in the entertainment industry, he has now embraced the opportunity to enhance his vision through education.

Attending Sunday classes at a local state-run school near his residence, Indrans is dedicatedly preparing for the Class X equivalency examination. His sole focus lies in clearing the examination, underscoring his determination to expand his horizons and acquire knowledge.

Meanwhile, Indrans, whose previous outing was with the Asif Ali starrer ‘Otta’, has several highly anticipated upcoming projects in the pipeline that include ‘Pulli’, ‘Nuna’, and ‘Nadikar Thilakam’.
