A classic play resurfaces on stage
The Auroville Theatre Group is presenting a rendition of Tennessee Williams’s classic play, titled ‘The Glass Menagerie’. The play is a trenchant depiction of a family and their strained relationships, set in the backdrop of The Great Depression, in St Louis, in 1937. The protagonists Tom, Amanda and Laura Wingfield will be portrayed by Vinu Karthick, Swati Mukherjee and Shilpi Singh, respectively.

Suguman Shanmugam will play the role of Jim, the gentleman caller.
The play is directed by Jill Navarre, while the artistes are Vinu Karthick, Shilpi Singh, Sugumar Shanmugam and Swati Mukherjee.
It is scheduled to take place on February 23 and 24 (7.30 pm) at Ranga Shankara, 36/2 8th Cross II Phase, JP Nagar.
