The Raghu Dixit Project to perform in Bangalore
It's been six years since Raghu Dixit released his eponymous debut album. And now, the singer is back with The Raghu Dixit Project and will take the stage at Vapour to promote his second album, Jag Changa, on February 28.
Jag Changa is packed with the kind of music one has come to associate with the Bangalore act – soulful, uptempo and earthy. It features tracks in Hindi and Kannada, as well as Raghu’s first song in Tamil.

The eight-track album features collaborations and charts the band’s evolution, both personal and sonic. Though the sound is still folksy, it is more layered and is hugely influenced by Raghu's travels over the years, as well as the people he has met and cultures he has experienced during these travels.
Ever since he released his debut album, Raghu Dixit has come to be seen as an ambassador for Indian music and his career highlights include having performed for the Queen of England at the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Windsor, conquering the UK, hitting the No. 1 spot on the iTunes World Music Charts seven times, performing at Glastonbury, and featuring on popular TV shows like Later with… Jools Holland, The Dewarists and Coke Studio.
