Meghana Raj turns playback singer

Actress Meghana Raj has always been vocal about her desire to sing a filmi number. But little did she realize that she would receive an opportunity this early in her career. The actress is all set to record a song for her upcoming film Bahuparaak, in which she plays Srinagara Kitty’s love interest. “Apart from acting, I love singing as well. Playback singing has always been my dream.I am glad that I got an opportunity to sing a song for my upcoming film Bahuparaak,” she says, adding, “Director Suni wanted the lead actors to sing a romantic number in the film. Kitty has sung some songs earlier too. For me, it’s a first though, and I am very excited to record my portions of the song.”
Meghana is also upbeat about sharing screen space with her parents in the film. “It was a nerve-wracking situation for me and they had no clue that I was very scared. Though it was just one scene, I was shivering. But at the end of the shot, my dad complimented me. He said I was a good actor. I didn’t expect that,” says Meghana.
